All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to contact@auchateauclement.com or made by phone at 04.75.88.33.53, and confirmed in writing. The date of receipt of this notification shall be considered the effective date for the application of the above conditions.

6.2 – No-show
If the guest fails to arrive on the scheduled arrival date without prior cancellation, the full amount of the stay is due and will not be refunded.

6.3 – Reservation Changes
Any request for changes (dates, number of guests, room type) is subject to the property’s availability and must be made as soon as possible by email or phone. The property will endeavor to accommodate such requests to the extent possible, though it cannot guarantee them.

6.4 – Cancellation by the Establishment
In the event of cancellation by Château Clément (SAS La Vie d’Auguste) due to force majeure (natural disaster, accident, unforeseen urgent construction work, or any other event beyond its control), all amounts paid by the customer will be refunded as soon as possible. No additional compensation may be claimed from the establishment on this basis.

6.5 – Special Events and Private Rentals
For any private rental of the estate or any special event covered by a specific contract, the cancellation and payment terms stipulated in said contract shall take precedence over the provisions of this article.

Article 7 – Terms of Stay

7.1 – Check-in and Check-out

Check-in: between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM
Check-out: by 11:00 AM

Any arrival outside these hours must be requested in advance and explicitly approved by the establishment. Additional fees may apply for late check-out, subject to availability.

7.2 – Children
Children are welcome at Château Clément, with no age limit. For breakfast purposes, a child is defined as any guest aged 12 or younger.

7.3 – Pets
Pets are allowed on the premises, provided they are kept on a leash in common areas and remain under the owner’s constant supervision. A surcharge of €15 per pet per night will be charged.

The guest remains solely liable for any damage caused by their pet to third parties or to the property’s facilities.

7.4 – Smoking Policy
Château Clément is a smoke-free property throughout all indoor areas. Smoking is strictly prohibited in guest rooms, suites, lounges, and covered common areas.

Smoking is permitted on the terraces, in the park, and in the estate’s gardens. We ask our guests to use only the ashtrays provided and not to discard cigarette butts in the natural surroundings or on the estate’s green spaces.

In the event of non-compliance with this rule inside the property, cleaning and restoration fees may be charged to the guest.

Article 8 – Respect for Cultural Heritage and House Rules

Château Clément (SAS La Vie d’Auguste) is a historic and cultural heritage property dating from the 19th century. As such, its woodwork, antique hardwood floors, walls, painted tapestries, and stone features constitute a highly fragile heritage that deserves special care and respect.

Our guests are asked to treat all of these elements with the utmost care. Any damage caused to equipment, furniture, decor, or architectural features due to negligence or a failure to exercise due care may result in a restoration fee, calculated based on the actual cost of the necessary repairs or replacement.

The establishment reserves the right to terminate a stay, without refund, in the event of seriously disrespectful behavior toward staff, other guests, or the property.

Article 9 – Liability

9.1 – Liability of the Establishment
Château Clément (SAS La Vie d’Auguste) is responsible for the proper performance of the reserved services, in accordance with the terms set forth in French hotel regulations.

The establishment assumes no liability for theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings left unattended in common areas or in guest rooms. A safe is provided in each guest room.

9.2 – Guest Liability
The guest is liable for any damage caused to the establishment, its facilities, or third parties during their stay, whether caused directly by the guest or resulting from the behavior of their companions or pets.

Article 10 – Protection of Personal Data (GDPR)

Personal data collected during the reservation process (last name, first name, contact information, payment method) is used exclusively for the purposes of managing your reservation and customer relations.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and transfer your data, as well as the right to object to its processing.

Article 11 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law, including the provisions of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for Hotels, Cafés, and Restaurants (HCR – IDCC 1979), as well as the laws and regulations applicable to the tourist accommodation sector.

In the event of a dispute regarding the interpretation or performance of these Terms, and in the absence of an amicable resolution, the competent court is:

Article 12 – Consumer Mediation

In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, any customer has the right to seek the assistance of a consumer mediator free of charge to resolve a dispute with the establishment amicably, prior to any legal action.
